Sucree Distinctive Jewelry Handmade in Seattle

Welcome to Sucree Jewelry! All pieces are handmade by me in my Seattle Washington studio using traditional metalsmithing techniques. This means you get a high quality, durable piece of jewelry. Most items are made to order assuring you get the correct fit and the item is uniquely yours. I strive to use recycled metals and findings as much as possible. Preserving our natural resources is important to me, especially since nature is the inspiration for most of my jewelry. A few of my favorite stones include chalcedony, agate, garnet, and sea glass.

Sucree Jewelry: Accessories

In search for a stylish and sophisticated tie clip,I've come across a shortage, so I have created my own. A classic accessory in men's attire is making a come back and I love it. A tie clip makes a man stand out in crowd and says "Not only do I look great in a suit, I have style." Work attire took a downward spiral in the 90s as people dressed for business casual in the office. These days, tie clips are fast becoming a fashion must for men outside the office. This tie clip is a traditional tie bar sometimes also called a clasp. More men's items to come!

Sucree Jewelry: About

My name is Jill Jandreau and I love metalsmithing. The sound of the torch, solder flowing from solid to liquid, the glow of hot metal, the meticulous sanding and polishing...But how much jewelry can I really wear while I'm kayaking or rock climbing! Most of my jewelry is sold online or donated to charity fundraisers. The word sucree is French for sweet or sugary. Growing up in Maine, my grandfather had a maple sugar camp which is called a sucrerie in French. I spent much of my childhood there playing in the woods with my cousins and eating maple taffy. It's influence on my life is significant which is why I named my jewelry collection Sucree. It's important to me that I do no harm while pursuing this art. I use recycled metal and findings as much as possible. You'll see my nature loving spirit in the items I create. Birds, flowers, water, and movement provide endless inspiration.
